Pastor JD Minerella is a native New Englander, born in Brighton, MA. After high school he followed the call of God to Zion Bible College in Barrington, RI. Upon graduation in 1990, he began his ministry as youth pastor at the Lowell Assembly of God in Tewksbury, MA. In the fall of that same year, Pastor JD married Carla Mason. 

Carla was born and raised in New Brunswick, Canada. Carla is a loving and tender soul, with a sweet spirit and a passion for God’s presence. 

Pastor JD and Carla have two wonderful children, Sarah and Joshua.

Together they would go on to serve at the Bethlehem Church in Queens, NYC. Pastor JD served as youth pastor and later as the Assistant Pastor. 

In September of 1997, Pastor JD was elected to serve as pastor of the Maranatha Assembly of God in Hampton, NH. Early on, the Lord showed him the path that needed to be taken. Over the next nine years he worked to build a foundation of people through which the Lord could birth a great church. 

In December of 2006, again following the call of God, Maranatha Assembly of God became Healing Rain Ministries and moved over to Seabrook, NH.  Since then the church has grown from 40 to 110+.  We are so excited about what God is doing at Healing Rain.

Most people describe Pastor JD as being “real”, "down to earth", and easy to talk to.  He is someone who does not try to pretend he is something that he is not. He is a dynamic preacher of God’s Word. Pastor JD has proven to be someone who is always there for the people in his congregation, anytime, day or night. 

Carla is also a tremendous blessing to our church. She leads our women's ministry and also serves as our church administrator.  Carla does so many thing behind the scenes that no one ever sees. 

Together, they are committed to being a blessing to the community and to fulfilling the vision given by God for Healing Rain Ministries.
